The Public Importance of Poker

Translated with the help of AI. We apologize for any errors and would appreciate your help in correcting them.

Poker is a rather ambiguous phenomenon in modern society. Many people and entire states treat it, from my point of view, incorrectly. Most believe that poker is a gambling game that borders on ludomania, and put it on a par with vicious activities (debauchery, promiscuous life, drugs and the criminal world). Perhaps in part, this has been present in live poker for a long time, but modern poker is a completely different game.

The mathematical component of the game has not been a secret for most of us for a long time, we are well aware that the level of professionalism in the game has a direct impact on our earnings. In addition to strategic education in poker, as well as in sports or office work, psychology and personal effectiveness are important components of career growth.

This is a real multifaceted profession with numerous development factors and ways to achieve success. Poker in itself is not vicious. It is an industry of entertainment and recreation for some and a profession and business for others.

In the poker world, of course, there are criminals, misleaders, deceivers, but only because they are simply present in any areas of life in which there is a lot of money. Let's take a look at poker with a modern look. For most of those who lose money in poker, this is a type of recreation, they recover, reboot during the game, as well as others in the pool, in the sauna, or in the bar. It is much easier and safer for many people to throw out emotions and passion for excitement during a harmless computer game than to go looking for adventures in bars and clubs or indulge in drug addiction.

Someone likes to ride live episodes, discuss giveaways, compete with other players at the table. This relaxes a person, and he is ready to resume his usual activities. This is everyone's choice, and we, as players, are simply participants in one of the spheres of human activity, we do not lure or deceive anyone, as many people think about professional players. In the process of growth and development in this profession, I deeply thought about the meaning that it has and the benefits for society that it brings, about the essence of the money that I earn in it.

There was a time when I completely stopped playing poker for as many as 2 years (from 2014 to 2016) just for the reason that I could not understand myself and my views. But now I have firmly established my vision of this profession and my role in it, so I am writing this article. It is impossible to achieve great heights in any business if you are negative about your chosen field of activity. It is worth loving your work and seeing in it some kind of good for the world! Gratitude is an important part of success in any profession.

Poker is useful not only for the multilateral development of the individual, but also for society as a whole.

Recreational poker players now do not have to go to some dubious establishments where they can get into trouble and become victims of deception or worse. They come to special online gaming rooms or come to offline championships, where everything is transparent, regulated by general legislation, money is protected from fraudsters, and there is no pressure on making certain decisions. Everyone can determine for himself how much he is ready to allocate for such a holiday. That it costs players money is perfectly normal. Traveling abroad also costs money, as does going to a nightclub or other forms of leisure. Everyone decides how to relax.

How can poker treat ludomania, you might think? I'll tell you a story that opened my eyes.

One of my students, with whom I worked for a very long time, told me the story of his life. He said that he was a typical ludomaniac, he drank a lot, walked and lost money in all sorts of slot machines and other murky stories. He told me that it sits deep inside and controls a person's thinking. At some point in his life, he became acquainted with poker and gradually, for his internal ludomania, this type of activity became a priority. Later, he learned that everything here depends not only on luck and you can upgrade your skills and play more professionally.

He began to study strategy, got to me for training, followed all the tips and recommendations and gradually began to play plus. He left his unloved job and began to invest in poker even more. As a result, he completely defeated his ludomania with the help of poker career development. He gave up alcohol, found a family, bought a house, now he has two children and a wife, and he beats abi70 to a good plus and leads a healthy lifestyle. This real story opened my eyes that poker is like a bridge between ludomania in the casino and the wild life on the one hand and a professional disciplined intellectual career on the other hand. Poker can be imagined as a great world doctor from ludomania and low-grade life.
